The event is open to both boys and girls aged 12 to 16, experience is not necessary as the Carp Society cater for beginners to experienced young anglers.

This is a well-structured event that allows all participants to learn, in real time, all aspects of carp fishing including: rig making, casting, baiting, fish welfare, watercraft, etiquette and much more – but most of all they get young anglers involved.

Many youngsters have gone on from the Carp Society Carp Camp to become extremely accomplished anglers in their own right, in fact some have gone on to win the British Junior Carp Angling Championship, and many are now working in the carp fishing industry. Also several previous juniors now attend the Carp Camp as adult instructors!

All anglers attending the event are very well looked after with a ratio of one instructor to two juniors, who are with them 24/7 ensuring full support. Full English breakfasts, lunch and evening meals are provided daily in the on-site lodge.

The event is fun and informative and, with support from Nash and Gardner, all participants go home with plenty of tackle!
