Two Big Cats and Five Likely Lads
Five likely lads from Salford decided to book a last minute weekend fishing trip to the River Ebro in Spain and what a good decision it turned out to be!
With only one full-on fisherman amongst them, and all the rest being angling virgins, they certainly had unbelievable beginner's luck.
On one recent weekend, in extremely hot temperatures, on the second day of their three day trip, the lads landed 46 catfish on 6 rods, with 8 ton ups, including an amazing 155lb and 180lb double take!
The boys booked their trip to Caspe with Ebrocatncarp, and the fish were caught on 2 x 22cm halibut pellets, hair rigged to a size 6/0 hooks, with 60kg hook lengths, 35kg mainlines and 6oz leads. The rigs were boated out 120 metres and the cats just kept on coming!
