Scorpio's Chub Falls To Cheese

The River Lea at Fishers Green still producing big chub in spite of the dipping water temperatures.

Good chub catches from the River Lea at Fishers Green continued over the weekend, with the best fish caught by RMC Angling Team member 'Scorpio'.

Scorpio fished a lump of Stilton cheese over hemp to catch the 5lb 12oz fish and a smaller one of 3lb. He fished an 8 hook to 8lb line in a swim at the upstream end of the river.

Another chub topping 5lb was caught on the same day, but few people fished due to the poor conditions.
