Surely it couldn’t happen in reality, and we had to keep pinching ourselves to make sure we weren’t dreaming. I’m still not sure……..

Hi Graham,
I would love to host your pictures on Barbel playground for you.
We are always grateful for them.
You can have your own page, to update as and when, or I am going to make a communal page very soon, when I have collected enough photos for it.
If you just post them to: paul@barbelplayground.co.uk
I will upload them to my webspace and post them for you.
We are quite proud of the photo album so far, but we need to keep updating it as much as possible.
I wish that I could get some members to write articles like that as well.
I love reading them myself like that.

Words like "conserve", "auric-like", and "sperical shapes" come to mind, but for the benefit of everyone "Jammy Golden Balls"!

I'm green with envy. The river looked fantastic and just being there would have done me. I love highly coloured floodwater, but to catch those big beautiful old whiskers as well. You lucky, lucky, lucky sods!!! But you really do deserve it.

Nice one Graham/Dave, superb fish....sounds like you dropped on just right. Nice to see you are well enough to haul em in as well Graham. Had a short session myself last night, getting back into the barbel bug...river was well up, got there a bit late but no 'Angels watching over me'.....still, the 'right' time is nearly upon us.....

Great reading. I'm inspired again! I'm off to get a Gt.Ouse ticket today and get back to barbel fishing proper instead of sodding about locally.

Well done you two!

Hell of a result, well done lads :o)

Well done Graham and Dave. I've fished the Dove myself a few times and know the Barbel can run big but that catch is fantastic. Once again well done.

Thanks all, still wondering whether it was all a dream.

Graham, add inspirationalist (is that a word?) to your skills list. As I said your catch inspired me to get back after the whiskers, so I bought a Vauxhall AC ticket for the Gt.Ouse. First time out yesterday I debuted with a 10:7 from the Radwell stretch. Magic! Looking forward to going again next week.....
