Show/hide user stats
The problem i seem to have with the pro logic spyder 2 man is pulling the poles apart to disamble it, becauase iether end at ground level is fixed to the bivey material making each pole rigid in its lenghth, which is great when assembled but difficult when taking appart. Is it just me or does anyone else have the same problem.

the one that fell apart was the force 8 if i when i get a new one i will be getting the big easy my freind has it it is really strong and has a proper winter skin and if you look a mullarkeys its only £99 at the moment and it is really large the two man

I would be really grateful if somebody out there could mail a picture of the top of a fox one man easy dome, looking down on the way the arms locate into the central holder at the top of the dome. My son couldnt assemble the dome one night session and with the help of some other well meaning anglers took it apart from the top and reassembled it incorrectly, ive tried for months but cant get the configuration right, any help would really welcomed.

Just a quick update on my Force 8 bivvy - Had it nearly 10 months now and have been out in all weathers including the strong winds late last year and earlier this year and had no problems with this bivvy- my two fishing pals both have the 1 man version and likewise theirs have given sterling service- Still a tight fit getting it back in the original bag though!-:0

try my new 1 man force 8 bivvy 2 weeks past no problems. if you take you time it will fit in bag easy!

Quick question for Force8 owners - is the 2man bivvy actually large enough to accommodate a father and young teenage son fishing duo, or would two F8 one-man bivvies be a better bet? Thanks.

Hi Andy,

Yes, the two man would be able to accomadate ( just about) two bedchairs side by side and broadside to the door- If your preference is for a single bivvy for two. rather than the force 8 two manner i would go for the force 8 giant- link here, http://www.fishtec-coarse.co.uk/ProductDetailInfoWithoutOptions.cfm?ID=TFG-FORCE8-GIANT&ShopRef=40&Prime=Yes&shopListRec=36941

It looks huge!

Hi CH

many thanks - yes, the big one certainly does look BIG! I think I'll go for the F8 two-man - the boy can use it on his own once he's old enough (and if it lasts that long!)

Hi
I am considering buying the force 8 1-man bivvy. I've seen the demo video on fishtec site, but how easy is it to take down and pack away for a 63-year-old (quite capable, though). I have a Fox Stalker bivvy and that's just too much trouble now.

Hi Graham,

Taking the force 8 down is very easy- the order i do it in is to zip close all doors including the inner mossie mesh one, take the ground pegs out all round, take the small elastcated fitting rain cap off the top of the bivvy, take out the two front supporting arms from the two main pegging feet at the front ( one either side- just clip out)- Then unclip the main power arm that you use to pull down to actually erect the bivvy- then just tap/push the main support Hub downwards and the whole thing just collaspes., Then just gather all the arms and fold them towards the centre. Apart from the top rain cap there are no bits to lose or take off or unscrew/pull apart, unthread etc- its a complete self contained unit!( trust me it's a lot easier than it sounds from my wordings!!;-) The actual packing away is more to do with patience than being hard ( i have NO patience and ALways rush it!), even though the bag is a bit of a tight fit. If you plan on buying this from a tackle shop why not ask them to give you a demo with it...

Hope this helped!

Cheers

Andy

thanks

Hi Dale,

Although i have not seen the "giant" version of this bivvy, looking at the pictures it does look as though it's exactly the same RE erection/packing away as the standard two manner- Just bigger!..:-)
