Was rather glad myself, thought you lot on the other side were a bit riff raffy myself, no disrespect intended you understand.

Of course I understand. Having seen the picture of a beeched snoring whale on a bedchair in an FM hat it must have looked terrible from your side!

Well done to all concerned.Although I couldn't fish the whole weekend, I really enjoyed it.First time I have ever legered using alarms for tench but learnt a lot. One thing I do need to learn though is that when having a p... in chestwaders make sure you have a high trajectory as that way you avoid p...ing in the little inner pocket at the front and smelling like a gents urinal which hasn't been cleaned for a month when you take them off! Apologies if I smelt like a tramp. If Mark would be so good as to set it all up again next year , I would be definately up for it.

maybe earlier for pike fishing then the james farrow later for carp.
Not really sure that Sywell would be best suited to either.Tench would do me fine.Anyway thats next year!
Same here Nigel, I couldn't fish for anything other than tench at Sywell, unless the roach made a come back? I thought you said you had a leak in your waders??? I didn't realise you meant it literally!!!
 LOL.It was not pleasant!

Hi All Just writing to say thanks to all at the Sywell fish - in. Didn't catch, but the company and the lake were all I really needed. And thanks to Brummie Paul for the 'knowing how it feels' to loose a big 'un. Ouch. All three articles writtten really summed up the comradary and the feel of the weekend. I'm now addicted to Sywell. Really looking forward to the next fish-in; think Dicky and I will be working on a Severn one soon(ish.) Lungi-Jim

Cracking write up guys , well there isn't anything I can say about the weekend that hasn't already been said......an absolutely superb weekend. My swim was a little further away so sadly I missed most of the action but Wendi (bless her) kept me updated via mobile phone. Well done Speci, that's truly fish to be proud off. Sywell is a magnificent lake, even though the fish stock is not what it use to be but that makes me determined to fish it again, until I catch one of those elusive tinca. It was great to have met new faces from FM and to have met up with old friends. Another huge thank you to Mark, Cakester, Wol and all the others who were involved to organise yet another fantastic FM fish in. Roll on next years meet

Jim, I know exactly how you felt mate, I had one on for seconds and it was gone! I was physically shaking! I was absolutely gutted after seeing Speci to my right and Brummie to my left pull out their beasts (tench!). Nick, that's my "little" bruv Jeff
