Wendi....if he gets the wallet out for a swift half don't be tempted by that dollar he carries around in it!!!

Who me?

Anyway, Wendi sends me letters with S.W.A.L.K on them, so she just might be treated to a swift half.

My wife is working on the 17th, so I will be bringing my two kids with me (10 and 8).

A rota system of 10 minutes supervision per angler should keep them happy.

Sorry Graham

I'm going to have to pull out of the match and settle for the teach-in only.

My wife is working and my folks have sprung a surprise holiday, so I will be looking after the kids that day.

Gutted!

Never mind Matt, it'll save you the £6 match fee and the fiver pools money you would have lost

Oh that was a dead cert Graham

That's a shame Matt, I was looking forward to meeting you, another time mate.

You look older than 14 in your picture!

Its the shades Steve, they add a few years. I can get in clubs and buy bear from pubs with them on and everthing. I got done when I got back late last night and mum took a hair brush to the backs off my legs. Still smarts now.

LOL

Just don't say any of those bad words that Sworsdy taught you last night in front of your Mum!

You're right about the fiver pools too, I wanna get my name on that lovely trophy this year.

I went to Banbury this afternoon 14/04/08 and had a look for a suitable venue for a decent brekkie.  There is only one cafe in Banbury that is open from 0700 hrs and that is a place called Cafe 6, it will sit a maximum of 10 large hungry anglers, however I have found a hotel restaurant "The Cromwell" which is just beyond the big roundabout.  I have spoken to the boss and they would be happy to feed up to 40 large hungry anglers, between 0700 - 0745 hrs.  The breakfast consists of a cereal buffet and a full english breakfast with all the trimmings and endless tea and coffee. The cost is £7.95.  I have provisionally booked it just in case and will confirm with them later depending on the outcome of the Red Lion e mail and the general opinion of the members.

We very rarely get 40 anglers going for breakfast. usually 15-20. Meeting at Tesco's is just easy as you can pick up a sandwich as well for lunch.

Bryan have a read of the recent posts on the Teach in thread which will explain the reason for finding a different place for breakfast.

The Red Lion that Nigel is contacting would be ideal the only thing I wonder about is whether they could cope with 30 guys all at once and where would they all sit?  Just a thought.  Much handier there though only 2 minutes up the road.

If the worst comes to the worst then I guess it will have to be Tesco's again but no way should we let them off with cold breakfasts, its no use moaning on here they need to hear the moans at the time and very loudly too and I for one will be asking for a refund should mine be cold.

£7.95!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bl**dy hell!!!!!  That's gonna put a dent in me winnings!

The breakfast was hot when it was served (apart from the toast that had been sat a while). The problem was the young guy on the till who spoke very little english took chuffin ages to recon up.

I'm interested Graham... Can't say for sure ( need to get a day pass from the wife!!) but would be good to go!!

Will let you know asap!!

Good work Trev.Hopefully I will get a response from the Red Lion today. It's not normally the case that everyone who fishes makes breakfast so wherever we plump for we will need to do a tally on rough numbers.

Would love to fish this event and meet old friends again, but sadly can't this year as it's number 1 sons birthday. Have a good day all.
