Time for a reminder: The official draw time for the match on the Clattercote car park is 9:00 The start time for the match is 10:30 Finish time 16:30 Presentation and refreshments in the pub at 17:30 However, being as we're booked into the pub for breakfast at 8:00 it depends how quickly they can serve us, so we may have to adjust the draw time and maybe even the start time. We'll have to see on the day but hopefully we can stick to the times above. Nigel will post more details about breakfast and after-match refreshments and presentation on the breakfast thread.

Can you put your hands on a whistle this time Boss? There was a bit of confusion last time!
Dunno, but if anyone else has got one they can nominate themselves to start and finish the match with it. I'll duck out of that job this time. I thought I was clear of insinuations by letting someone else draw my peg for me last time, but.....

 Hahahaha

Not long to go now as always looking forward to a fun day out with a good bunch of like minded nutters.

I'll see if I can find a whistle. It'll need a big puff to blow it though so it's back in your court, Graham.
 You wanting breakfast Jeff?

Is there a closing date for the 'interesteds' to either join the committed or duck out ? As if all of the interesteds with dibs on a place confirm then its a sellout. If not.... ....then might there perhaps be a chance for one or two of us who couldn't afford it when first mooted but just might be able to manage it now might be able to sneak in by the backdoor* but can't afford the petrol to just turn up 'on spec in hope of taking over a no show place..... [Edit]PS. Not 100% saying I can take over a place, not entirely sure what plans the other half who is also my new boss has for that weekend yet, not many Saturdays off in the licensing trade.... I can but ask. Ask and ask until my knees bleed.... . But there may be other 'might be's' like myself who would be interested to know.... [/Edit] . . * No Corker, down boy. This is a serious thread, restrain yourself.

Any member who sends their £6 peg fee goes straight onto the 'definite' list regardless of whether or not they've been on the 'interested' list.

Just a reminder that if anyone wants me to book them a breakfast at the pub before the match, please post on the breakfast thread before 0900 on Monday 12th May. No booking = no breakfast as I need to confirm numbers in advance.

As with the Clattercote teach-in I shall have a small number of double signed copies of 'Pole Fishing' available.

Graham Andy W has just told me that he won't be able to make the match, so can you please take his name off the list.

Dear All I fished at Clattercote on Sunday. Unlike our usual matches I went to specifically carp fish as it was hot with very little wind. All match results were dire, pegs 122 up to 100, 4lb of bit won it. Above them in the other section the winning bag was about 6lb. I had to sit on 75 and my three mates were up to 71 and we bagged it as the wind was blowing up the lake all the fish were spawning around the island. There were three lads fishing inbetween the islands and by the time I left at 4pm they had had 136 carp witha high average of 10lbs per fish "Whew". There was an afternoon match on our usual section but they did not catch much up to 4pm but could have later in the afternoon as there match was a late match, the other lower secyion 1 to 25 was poor all day. However I managed to catch a carp on that silly baggin waggler thing, it went 15lb 10oz so I now have more hope with the feeder float. Most fish came to boilies or corn, but they are spawning at the moment so by saturdays match they will either be on it or they will be away with the birds in the jungle at the far end of the lake. See you saturday, what's this about breakfast Graham. The Hood

Thanks Hood. That sounds encouraging . A high draw please! Cooling down all week with a spot of rain forecast for saturday(typical!) so that should dampen their ardour a bit and make them ready for a bit of a munch.Plenty of other stuff in there though if the carp are not having it. My money is on Mr Wintle if its a bits match though! What pegs we got Graham?
Thanks for the report Hood. A couple of clonkers will blow the bits out of sight Nigel!

Tactics!Tactics! You are quite right of course Steve but dare you gamble!
