 Baz, I knew you'd be back today. How many carpers with out of date licences did you catch and how many items of tackle did you have surgically removed.  I used to be a wannabe but now I'm a usedtobe.

 I'm a wannabe, but that's because i'm new to the sport. I often ask folk how they are fishing, as a learner your expeience/expertise is a valuable resource to me. but in saying that i would never dream of taking up residency of someones peg that they have done all the ground work on. I often fish they same spot, and have done my ground work that is now rewarding me with catches. Nearly every evening i walk the dog past "my" spot and toss the odd bit of ground bait in. yesterday morning the misses walked the dog and reported that someone was fishing in the very same place. Not a problem i thought to myself...until i went with the dog and saw my spec. What a F*****g mess. Beer cans, line, shot you name it, it was there. i was livid. so i am a wannabe and not a shister (yet)

 Im not a wannabe but can you tell me what bait your mate was using when he caught the tench ? how far out was he ? What temperature was the water ? how big was the hook ? I need all the help I can get if im going to catch Tench at Sywell whilst being watched by the FM massive standing behind me drinking cans of stella.....
