My son had a quick session for carp today, had one at 33lb 7ozs and 4 others all over 20lb. Got some good pic's. I picked him up and as we were leaving a guy moved from halfway around the lake into the swim my son had been fishing. No it is'nt water craft but we all go to waters to catch fish. If my sons mate had not caught 6 fish over the weekend, my son may have not gone to that lake, he did'nt go to the same swim as someone was in it. Blanking. Yes we do need watercraft and yes we all at sometime have caught off the backs of others knowhow, if we didnt we wouldnt know what fish are in our waters. We have all read articals on what methods and bait, and many have written them, ask yourself why do we do that?, to gain some extra knowhow, theres nothing wrong with that. What bugs me is the circus that make out they did this and that, the press make them out to be the best, when the truth is many have taken locals knowledge, got the result and sold it to the press, thats not watercraft, its b***s**t

How about this scenario Ray? I turn up at my local lake one day knowing exactly what swim I want to be in. Conditions are perfect for it, wind, temperature, everything. I know the're going to be stacked up in there. Trouble is, somebody else is already there. So as not to disturb them, I go round the other side, as far away as possible. I'm on for the weekend and when Saturday moring comes round, I've blanked. I spot matey boy in my original swim packing up. I'm off like a shot and arrive as he is finishing packing up. 'Had anything?' I enquire, being sociable, like. 'A couple,' he replies, 'but my mate had a decent one last week'. as he leaves. Over the next 24 hours I pick up a few fish, including the largest in the lake. 'Bloody swim jumpers' says the bailiff, 'Can't find their own fish!'

I dont see anything wrong in that paraman. you could have gone in the swim and blanked yourself, but you did'nt. Look at it this way, your watercraft and method got the fish, not the dummy who blanked. If it was a committee man this thread would'nt be here.
Paraman miss read your post, the other guy didnt blank, but still you went onto catch and take the best in the lake. Does it matter if you are in the swim within a few seconds of the other angler or the following day.

Wol says: what i will do is look back on the post i put on a couple of days ago and still confirm Baz talks a load of shite. Also a real shame he edited his post as i did see it prior to the edit, Any chance of an explanation as to what you are on about? Titus Paraman and Wol have their heads stuck up each others arseholes or so it seems. Paraman. Are you saying that swim watching and jumping doesn't happen? If you are you have already contradicted yourself in two posts above.
You took out for some strange reason about said well know angler writing for well known magazine, i was curious as to why you took it out on the edit?
wol. I think you have me confused with somebody else cock. In fact I'd put money on it. I don't think I have ever said anything about well known writers and magazines, in the whole time I have been on this forum. What was the thread title? Anyone else for a thrashing?
yes please Baz, but be gentle
Not confused Baz but i'll leave it at that.

I really dont see any problem with jumping in a going swim after watching someone have good sport from the swim, many people have jumped in swims after I`ve had a good hit, no problem, if someone else get the same pleasure as I`ve had. On a number of waters I`ve fished, some swims as going swims and everyone tries to get onto them, the classics where places like Horseshoe, summer point, winter point ect, of course if you can finmd feeding fish somewhere else great, but its no always possible, but whats the problem???

Monk, not up for a thrashing then?
yes all the time mate, whats she like
I have already stated that there is nothing wrong in jumping on a going swim when somebody has left it But what I do object to is somebody calling another person a leach for doing what they themselves are doing. and then pretending they have done the homework. Wol. Don't leave it at that. Put a link to where I deleted some remark or other. P.S. I just eddited this post to correct a spelling mistake, if that's okay.

Oi Baz, some of my best mates are leeches
What are you getting at Baz? Or who are you getting at?

"But what I do object to is somebody calling another person a leach for doing what they themselves are doing. and then pretending they have done the homework". Why didn't you say that in the first place? "Titus Paraman and Wol have their heads stuck up each others arseholes or so it seems" As well as being anatomically impossible this comment is below the belt, (even for bait box), what you are saying is that anyone who disagrees with you is below contempt. This attitude is pathetic but typical behaviour of someone with a small amount of power, (did I read that you're a bailiff?), and an even smaller dick. If you ever wonder, (though I doubt if you do), why newbies don't stick around long on here then you need look no further than the comment above. Imo "angel of the north" in your title should be replaced with arsehole of the north.

Monk, She is a he, Baz is offering a thrashing. Changed your mind yet Monk?.
