Sadly Fred passed away at about 9:00pm on the 7th. May.  I will pass on details as they come to hand.

I like many thousands of others was bought up on his books, articles and exploits and he will be sorely missed. RIP Fred.

Another chapter of angling history closes. Makes you wonder if there is a Heaven A.C., but if there is it will have a lot of damned good anglers up there by now.

Fred J Taylor; a great angler, wonderful author and countryman supreme, R.I.P.

His contributions will, like the man, be sorely and sadly missed.

My deepest sympathies to his family and to his legion of angling and country persuit friends.

Very sad that one of our best loved anglers has passed away. Fred made a lot of angling history and for that we're in his debt.

One of the truly great anglers whose likes we will not see again. He will be greatly missed
