Morespiders says "Got a Jack Hilton 11ft fast taper carp rod here for the auction, 1 3/4 lb test curve made by Alan Brown  Hitchen, nearly immaculate condition, circa? cant remember, suppose early 70s?"

Conoflex were brown or black i think..........brown first and when matt black became fashion they went that way.

Good on yer Fred, Il'l scratch all the writing off for you and write your name on it in white paint,

Best copperplate please. Could you also rename it the Gudgeonmaster, or maybe the Loachlancer?

Better still, if you rebuild it completely in split cane with agate-lined rings throughout, and throw in a wide-brimmed ferretskin hat (size 7 & 1/4) with rattlesnake band, I might stretch to £32.50.
