 Well I never Cakey! I can inform you that the character that the splendid teapot depicts is non other than one of Grewelthorpes most well known characters "Pan Arse". He was renowned for the size of his feet (see depicted on the actual tea pot), size 21! to be exact, and by a cruel act of nature had no legs past his knees, just huge feet. A modern day celebrity angler who also suffers this same misfortune is non other than FM supremo and "big issue" salesman Granville "10p for a cup of tea guv" Marssdern. The tea pot was commissioned to celebrate his incredible achievement of digging out one of the biggest slurry pits in South Yorkshire for a local farmer in 1959, instead of filling it with cow shite, the farmer filled it with water and carp...and so the first commercial fishing pool in Yorkshire was established.
