if you're going to put a free track on you could at least make it wishing well.

ron's a phillistine. we've known that for ages,

but it looks like most o the rest have got terrible musical taste also.

specially that biscuit.

Cakey

deep joy  thanks

"Philistine???"

I think that goes the other way.

The music I like is a bit like "Pearls before swine" here.

Captain Carrot,  I specifically steered clear of Wishing Well as there are better less well known tracks and also I wanted the heathens on here to hear something different

Ron - Mr Clapton has nowt on Big Bill or Rory. I do believe though that Big Bill was a major influence on Claptout as well as being a major influence on the Rolling Stones as well as many others.

Here is a great example of Big Bills picking style.

Big Bill Broonzy

The Monk isn't bad, the trouble is he can't sing.

And without his Wha Wha Pedal he would be nowhere!

I like both kinds... country AND western...

Ron's a miserable old sod. He wants to tell us he sits for hours of an evening absorbed in Beethoven's 5th or gently calmed by Handel's Messiah. And that, apparently, means you have taste and that any other kind of music is for heathens.

It's the same on Desert Island Discs - "My guest today is Fearnley Cholmondeley-Smythe, first cellist with the Nether Wallop Ensemble, who first came to prominence with his recital of Nurdberger's Symphony in D Minor last Thursday on BBC Radio 9, just before the news. Tell me, Fearnley, when did your love of music begin?"

And then he'll drone on an on about so-called 'classical' music, and name-drop anyone who's ever been in the audience. As if we care about his dreary record collection. Of course, they're all lying to sound good; in truth they dropped acid at Cambridge and listened to Kashmir by Zep just to fit in, and they're still trying to fit in now.

I like a great deal of classical music, but it's not superior to anything - it's just old pop music. The only historical reason for the existence of an orchestra is to make enough noise to drown out a big crowd. As for Vaughan Williams, anyone who pretends he likes that sh1te probably spend days at the Tate looking at upturned teapots with a turd on top.

And I love Harvest Moon MarT. Thanks for reminding me how good it is

"if you're going to put a free track on you could at least make it wishing well."

Gary moore does a better version and so does the Monk

Otway and Barret go nuts. I remember this

So you say Mr Monk, still waiting to see you on the tube....

I much preferred Bad Co. anyways

Do you know what happens, if you play an old C&W record backwards on your turntable (remember those?)

Well, your wife doesn't leave you, your kids don't contract terminal diseases, your dog don't get run over by a Mac Truck, and your house don't get blown down by a hurricane!

Now, seriously:

Favourite Bands:

1. Bait Bands,

2. Elastic Bands

3. Band Aids

You didn't really think I would get serious about a 'band', did you?

What about The Wurzels Peter? I would at least have thought you might like The Wurzels.

Mark the Spark thinks I only like the classics.

I do like The Wurzels as well.
