My little friend is red and I've already got a trip booked this year in Sept

Put me down for next year.....obviously the more detail the better.

One thing that does spring to mind is definate travel arrangements and there is things like insurance and breakdown cover to think about......i don`t fancy being stranded up shit creek without a paddle,in a mini bus on the road to nowhere !!!!

Not like the last fish -in Nick , a close thing mate .

Roto's your man for French travel!

Greencard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im deffo in and ive sorted out a 5 seater transit van for us to hire at a very very very low price as its off a family member who owns his own garage (obviously we will all split the cost) and I`m going to get some insurance quotes tonight. PLUS he is going to get some fishing magic.com graphics for it too.

£150 for a weeks hire by the way, what you all reckon? I`ve elected myself to drive it if nobody minds as it would be insured in my name

Do we need a french licence???

New law comes in around October. Think you have to have Fluoro jacket and warning triangle otherwise hefty fine. Also need Green-card.

I'm 50/50 at the moment although would love to go in October as it will i'm sure, fish very well. Will know in couple of days.

Bloody cheap too.

Plenty of tree's surrounding lake for Sash too!

By law, one red warning triangle and one high-visibility vest must be carried in vehicles from 1 July 2008. In the event of breakdown the driver should put on the safety jacket and place the warning triangle 30 metres from the breakdown to warn approaching traffic. Failure to carry these items in the vehicle is punishable by a fine incurred per item not carried, though law enforcement officials will not be imposing fines until 1 October 2008.

Visibility Vests are compulsory in France from July 1st 2008, and in Austria, Belgium, Italy, Norway, Portugal and Spain (and likely to become compulsory throughout the EU). The rules vary from country to country concerning number of vests required and whether they should be carried in the car or boot. Common sense suggests that there should be a vest for every occupant, and that the vests should be carried in the car, and put on before getting out. Do this and you will not have a problem.
