Hello everyone, i've just got linked up to the net and am new to this forum stuff. In the company of some highly respected anglers i'm a little humbled. I grew up in York and used to fish the North Yorkshire Rivers a lot in my youth; the Ouse, Nidd and Foss being my favourites. I then moved to Nottingham to study and spent 6 years there - mainly fishing the Trent for its specimen Barbel,Chub+Bream - i now live in the manchester area and make regular visits to the Ribble in persuite of the same, and maybe the odd big roach! I also enjoy a trip shore fishing along the north wales coast. Anyone interested in that kind of thing let me know!

Hi Andy, there are some EXCELLENT anglers on this site I can tell you! I am a Gudgeon specialist angler!...I cant tell you any of my methods, THEY ARE SECRET..SO DONT ASK. I cant tell you anywhere I fish, thats secret as well...SO DONT ASK! But I can tell you this....Fat Stans chuck wagon behind Woolworth in Pontefract is giving away...I SAID GIVING AWAY! a four finger kit kat (not the dark chocolate ones, they are for the posh southerners) with every burger this Saturday night. Best regards Deanos. PS. Do you like the Cheeky girls?

Hi Deanos - sorry Morespiders - but i have to congratulate you on that excellent insight into the future in your article. Hilarious - i met Lee once on the banks of the Trent once, ooh - going back maybe 5 years now but i remember it well as i'd seen his picture in the Angling Times and when i stepped out of the car as my girlfriend dropped me off i saw Lee doing the same. We stared at each other for a moment before heading purposefully for the river - we didn't speak. Thankfully he turned left down the path and i turned right so there was no conflict. I remember the day well as i had a gods honest truth 10" Gudguon that day but i forgot my scales and camara and didn't want to disturb Lee as i thought he might be asleep.

Hi Graham, You are one of the highly respected anglers i was talking about at the start of this thread! Thank you for taking the time to welcome me. I have a picture of a Very large Chub caught from the river Ribble at the back end of last season that i thought we could play another game of 'guess the weight' with!? I'll try and send you the picture - following the instructions in the Ribble Record claim thread - along with the specific details and you can see what you think.
