what colour is the glt pro gold ,and does it  sink well , and good for long range fishin cheers

It's a pale green colour, thick diameter, very strong (abrasion) too.

Try going toThe Tackle Box website and take a look at the strength/diameter ratio tests they have done on many, many makes of line-it'll give you a good heads up:

Suffix Xelon, they do that in weed green I think.

I use the clear version and am very pleased with it, it sinks well, has vitually no memory and is bl**dy strong.

I use it for almost all of my barbel and carp fishing.

That's the idea Nik, if she spends on another 10,000 pairs of shoes, handbags, stored grudges etc, she can't knock you for buying essentials, simple equation, every one a coconut.

bad choice, shimano Technium is by far the best line out there. try doing a little research next time or at least when you get fed up with memory issues.

at least this once....

I've never had a memory problem with Xcelon or any issues with it's strength and abrasion resistance, etc...

It'd take a lot to pursuade me to try another mono mainline in 12lb.

If it ain't broke, why fix it?

Show/hide user stats
Roto, Frothey,  is Tech really that good?
Show/hide user stats
Xcelon doesn't have the probs - its a damn good line. my dad uses it and loves it. I've used it, but really do prefer the Technium.

come on lads dont argue
Show/hide user stats

we're not - we're discussing.

Paul - yes!

Show/hide user stats

Fair enough.

What do you prefer about the Technium?

I'm intriuged now.
