Hi can anyone recommend a good budget price 11ft avon rod under £40.00 for me? Its to accompany my John Wilson Avon rod as a 2nd rod mainly on stillwaters legering for bream, tench and roach/perch in the winter. Thanks in advance.

James - I suggest you take a look at the Pro Performance Graphite Pro Avon/Quiver Specialist rod. Its an 11' 2 piece rod with 2 top sections (avon & quiver), lined guides, screw reel seat and cork handle.
It retails at about £50 but you may find it cheaper on the net. I bought one 2 years ago and have been very pleased with it.

Fishtec.co.uk are having a sale and for the very reasonable price of £45 are selling their Whisper River and Stream 11' avon , I have one and for winter roach n chub on smallish to mediumish rivers takes a lot of beating.
