do zander feed well in the winter and what are the best baits for them p.s anyone know any bedfordshire venues for zander.

Like most fish, I suspect that the Zander's metabolism slows a bit in winter and as such they aren't as active. This presents a slightly different problem in that you actually have to find them, however if you do manage to land on and put a bait to them, they will feed in even the coldest conditions!

Livebaits and fresh deads, including the likes of Lamprey will score. I've not done too badly for Zander on Lamprey these last couple of winters.
