i have heard the poles on the force 8 bivvy are a bit naff and break easily but i quite fancy one myself anyone had probs with them?

don't touch a force 8 just don't do it! the first one i had broke on the first attempt the second i pulled my back and threw it across the field. to put it up you need to lift the whole thing off the ground and have arms like a monkey. i got my money back and got a fishrite xs. the spider looks realy good get that one.

THINKING OF BUYING TRAKKER ARMADILLO MK2 BIVVIE CAN ANY ONE TELL ME IF YOU HAVE TO BUY THE WINTER SKIN AS WELL

both me and my mate have the 2 man force 8. fromthe time its out of the bag to being pegged down is really within 30 seconds, done a night in it last week when the temperture was -3 and had no problems concerning the cold (of course sleeping bag and layers helped) i like the fact the groundsheet is part of the bivvy so you have 100% confidence that is pretty dam hard for rats to get in (unless they wanna chew through the bivvy) putting it away is the worst part for me anyway. comes down easy enough but to be able to wrap it all up small enough to get the straps back round it and get it back in the bag it takes 2 of us lol. could be done alone but easier when you have a mate there to help compact it down. all round nice bivvy

i have the force 8 two man it is a nice size but i have trouble putting it up you need arms like arnie to pull the lever down and erect it also putting it away is a nightmare you have to fold all the fabric in between the legsand trying to get the tention straps around is very hard work but if you can put up with that it is a nice size but keep tripping over guide ropes good luck with it
