Just starting fishing and I'v bourght a Warbird 640 6bb Fixed Spool Fishing Reel & a Maximus Specimen 12ft carp rod are they any good. Please advise

Bit late to ask now isnt it?

I have some cheap Fladen beach caster rods and reels and they are absolute Crap. The rods are not too bad but the reels feel like they will fall apart pretty soon.
Im not too bothered as I wasnt expecting much for £60 for two rods and two reels and they should just about cope with the half a dozen beach fishing trips a year that I will make.

I waggled a fladen rod (false casting) at Chatsworth and it broke! The stall holder wanted me to pay for it!!
