As a fisherman of no standing I need some advice. I have done a little conventional rod and line fishing and have now purchased a pole the top sections of which need elasticating. Can any one advise the best knots to use on elastic particularly for tying to the stonfo and the loop to the stora bung? Diagrams would be a great help.

It's an old book by now, but Tom Pickering's "My way with the pole" has a lot of useful stuff in iot, including knots. It got me started on the right foot some years back when I got into pole fishing.
