Does someone have a pic of this beast opened up? Mine won't be coming until the new year and I'd like to have a look.
thanks in advance, Richard

There, that's a little bigger. Overall it sems like a nice bag...definately lots of room. I haven't been able to take it fishing yet, but I've been practising hauling it around and a few things come to mind. When I packed the storage compartment with net, tarp etc, and it came under a bit of strain, the zipper opened up on me. I was able to get it back together but it gave me a bit of a scare. Perhaps the time tested large brass zippers would be hardier than plastic. Also, the shoelace ties to hold the rods in place come undone unless I tie a double knot in each one; maybe there's something to be said for velcro straps instead of laces. It barely fits in my Ford Taurus, but that's ok, it goes in. The reel compartments fit a shimano rod fine, but the others I have put the reels so far forward they almost don't fit. Can't please everyone, but hey, it's a Shimano bag.. Since I bought mine privately from someone in the U.S. and had it carried back to Canada by a friend, I can't comment on the suggested retail price, but at around 45 pounds it seemed fair. If the rods and reels inside cost over a thousand dollars new, spending a hundred dollars to protect them isn't unreasonable. I'm still experimenting with what to carry in it, but I'd say 30 pounds in weight will be my limit. In May when I've had it out on the bank for awhile, I'll rate it in the poll.
