A billion rain drops cant get through he said, perhaps he forgot about the other 999 million, Hydratex material no, more like hydra sock. There was me sat by the lake in my tx bivvy in single skin guise when it started to rain quite heavily. I can only assume mr lane extensively tested this in his garage or maybe in his lounge because after about 15 mins of rain i might as well have put my net over my head as it would be more waterproof. Thankyou mr lane, I saved up for a joke, next time I will be buying a trakker. Im having a bonfire next week and your bivvy will be the 1st to burn!!!!

I do do like a happy ending (o.

I'd put this story alongside the one of the bloke who advertised his bivvy on e-bay. I forget the make, but he said it was brand new and a pain in the aris to put up. Mint condition except for one small tear in the roof where I have stabbed it. Hahahaaaaaaaa.

have you contacted JRC? seems a bit stupid to burn it when they might resolve the problem....

I bought a brand new Fox continental easydome about 3 years ago , after a trip or two it leaked ,i was not amused ,rather than haveing all the hassle of sending it back and getting it replaced i waterproofed it myself with Thompsons waterproofing for brickwork from B&Q`s for about £8 a tin .
It work`s well ,just brush it on but leave it out in the garded for about 3 days becouse of the fumes .

The bivvy is nothing to do with jrc, its dave lanes own brand and I would have more chance contacting the clangers than mr lane as I have tried before to no avail.

Tx Bivvy

I'm pretty sure the JRC x-lite landing net was the "dave lane" model.....

dave's not big enough to source the kit himself.....i heard a rumour that the generator rods are the same blank as ESP's Vertex's......not that thats a bad thing!

and the "piece de resistance"....HERE

LOL!

Show/hide user stats
ok....so have you contacted JRC?
Show/hide user stats
I have sent numerous e-mails to mr dave lane via the address on his site and received no reply, jrc was my next port of call.

not until i told you! i'm pretty sure dave doesnt even get the e-mails.....

its always better to phone people, harder to ignore than an email
