However, spinners, spoons and spinnerbaits are the very best there is.

Keep an eye on Ebay for deals like this. Buy only top branded stuff though like names I've recommended in those articles.

I don't do a lot of pike fishing but I've found that spinners don't seem to work as well as lures, I have one jointed design in various colours which pull a fish out of the bag when everything else fails, of course they don't work everytime but I've never had a single fish on a spinner so now I don't even bother carrying any with me. i find that a cross between a spinner and a rubber always works i pulled 5 pike out in about 3 hours on a river with that it was the first time i had used it aswell
