Hi, I've just bought a mint DAM CTE135. I've been unable to work out how to change the spool after taking off thecasting cap.I'm sure it's very simple, but I'm stuck. Can anybody help please?  Otherwise I have no problems with the reel and hope to use it for trotting on my local river for trout nexseason.

If it is like the CFM (had a few of these), then once the bell cap is removed, the spool just pulls off (hexagonal fit on centre).

Unless you mean that you cannot get the bell housing off, then all you do is to press and hold the pin release button & pull off the spindle.

Hi! Thanks, I've done what you said. I had suspected that but the bell housing appeared to be jammed and I didn't want to force it. All si OK now and I can see how it works. Thanks for yopur swift reply.

No problems Graeme. They are a little hard to remove at first, but once the knack is gained, they are childs play.
