, does enyone one know if the old purist centre pin reel 2042 4"in x 3/4 spool would fit the purist 11 y2041 4"in 3/4 purist reel, thank you

it will but it wont run smoothly due to the slight alterations in the making of both the reels

take the spool to a tackle shop and ask to look at the youngs y2041 reel then whip off the spool and slip on your's and give it a spin nod knowingly and mutter ummm .then replace the origanal spool ,hand back the reel saying thank you (keeping a strait face) and say " I like to take my old spool out for the spin on its birthday ya knows ".Then promptly walk out the store. without saying another word
