I have just ordered one, a travel barbel, to develop my own centrepin use. I have a greys prodigy whch i really like. Before this, i used a John Wilson barbel rod which does not, in my opinion, come anywhere near the quality of the grey's rod both in build and use. I bought the greys to use with the pin but thought travel rod might be a useful addition. For the money, £95, i doubt it will be a waste of money buying one anyway. I realise you have had no comments despite posting last year. maybe you have already bought one. if so, let me know what you think of it?
