Harrison Four Piece Avon Rod
A four piece Avon type rod from British rod makers Harrison. Definitely one to sneak into the boot when going on holiday.

it toke me over thre year to get a multi-piece quality rod costom made, and when asking major firm why they don't make them i was always told 'no one wants them'Harrosons was one such firm... now it seem like all this firms where wrong... well all i can say is maybe giving all the c--- about they can be made is just lazyness from the firms that want to tell us and control what we can and can't use. this rod look great. ti's also a perfict copy of my design... and i for one will not be buying it but if it's half as good as the one i finialy got made then it's going to be a fantastic rod and any one thinking shall i get one then all i can say is 'YES GET ONE NOW'

I think there should be more multi-piece rods around. Modern carbon blanks make it possible to contruct rods from several lengths who's actions cannot be detected from 2 piece rods.

The only advantage of two piece rods is that they can be carried with the reel, line and rig, made up.

But you could do this with a 4 piece rod.

Think about it manufacturers.

Exactly why I'm looking for a quality telescopic Ron, so I can make it up, jump out of the car and fish anywhere.

not always easy to find but browning/zebco do some quality telescopics.

Does anyone know where to buy this Harrison rod, and do anyone else do a 4 piece avon/barbel type rod?

Show/hide user stats
Greys do there prodigy 1.5Ib Barbel in a 3 piece. This as a 1.5Ib avon top and a quiver top with 2.3 & 4oz push in quivers.

Have a word with Walton Tackle Exchange oddly enough in Walton on Thames.

They will happily customise any Harrison for you.

Word of warning though do not visit with any credit card, debit card or cash as the guy can sell sand to the Arabs !

I once managed to get out with only spending £30 but I did run for the door.

I have recently purchased a Shimano Tribal Lite rod 7-9ft   2 and quarter tc rating on ebay for around £60 complete with cammo tube and own cammo bag that fits inside

It breaks down into 5 sections so is very portable

I can confirm it holds and tames double figure margin carp extremely well

I`m not knocking the rod Kev , but a cammo tube and a cammo bag , how sad is that .
Show/hide user stats
lol dont knock it till youve tried it

Tony, try Peregrine Rods: www.peregrinerods.co.uk or Email: rogermccourtney@aol.com

Custom built rods that are out of this world! No, I'm not getting paid for saying that, I bought one of his rods and the finish and quality are superb. They ain't cheap though.
