any one of these should get it for you. It's Harrisons dealer list.

Garry my two FM Concept rods where obtained by my local tackle shop for the same price as advertised. I just printed the review off the FM site and gave it to the guy at the tackle shop and he obtained it for me within the week. Can’t ask better than that.

I have started to fish the Dane for barbel. I have been using a 12ft Shimano Nexave Barbel power rod. But I think I really need an 11ft rod.I want it to handle lines up to 12lb and be able to swing out a small seymo bait dropper. I wont be feeder fishing or using heavy leads. I want to be able to "feel" the lead when I tighten up. Would the comcept rod do me...???

Hi Robert, I would suggest you try braid if you want to have more "feel" in the rod.

Robert I've posted this to you but I thought others may be interested, also I forgot to say what line I use. On the Ribble I've started using 20lb PowerPro braid and before that I used 8lb or 10lb mono. "Hi Bob It depends what you call hook and hold, if you are talking about stopping a fish dead within two feet then you are going to need a very stiff rod indeed and no way could you use a bait runner. By the time you’ve pick it up the fish would be in the snag. However, the Harrison rod will hold a good fish provided it can’t get into the snag in the time it takes you to pick up your rod. Also because it’s a though action rod this also means it gives a foot or two more when loaded than a rod where all the action is in the tip. I’ve had 11.5lb barbel and 15lb pike on the rod and it handled them with no problem, I also used it for chub fishing. The only fault, and it’s not really a fault as it wasn’t designed for it, is chucking 3 or 4 oz of lead or feeder 60 metres are more. Personally I would say the rod is ideal for the Dane, an other great advantage is the slightly shorter butt, which makes it a dream to handle if you fancy a bit of spinning, both my Pike fell to plugs using the FM concept rod. Regards John"

John, Thanks for your comments & mail...I may get one or even two as they look good rods for a bit of winter canal piking. That's the easy bit, the other is getting two 6ft tubes past my young lady.

Hi Robert, I paid £180 for a rod some years ago, I smuggled it in the house, and the first couple of times I used it I lowered it from the bedroom window on a piece of string so she wouldn't see it when I went out. True.

Went to Dane today and if it wasn't for my new rod I would have come home. River was 6ft up and in the fields behind trees. I got in a gap in some steady water and caught a 5lb 6oz barbel. rod now broke in...!!!

Do harrisons still make the FM concept rod or will they make one for you, or does anybody know where i can lay my hands on one?. If i cannot get one it will be a choice of a harrison avon 4=piece or the harrison h-design sluis 4=piece. Any member with any help on the above please e-mail me. Cheers Gary.
