I am fairly new to pole fishing and was after some advice please. On one of my local commercials there are nice roach and loads and loads of carp, mainly 3lb but quite a few 5-7lb and some into low doubles, the  pole top that i was going to use has been elasticated with black hydro (hollow) is this ok or to strong. Also the lakes there have alot of reeds and underwater branches and snags.

fine for those carp but some roach will be bumped off       if you have a spare top for roach all the better      with a lighter laccy 5 is perfect for roach but a carp would give you the run around on it a compromise would be a 10 with only one tip.
