Bleak, that’s exactly the conclusion I reached. Only draw back is that very few camping chairs have the adjustable legs. If you can live without that, you should find some good ones.
Andy makes a good point...they say "light" as a matter of course but they still weigh a ton....4kg is not light, in my book 2kg is light ! The nash nomand got some good reviews....it was very similar to my original JRC chair. In fact I think Nash copied the foot adjuster mechanism of JRC, I seem to remember Nashes earlier chairs (big foot?) used the pin mechanism and he slated the JRC mechanism then copied it !
I think one of the problems is that when they make an angling chair they seem obsessed with strength…for example why are most angling chairs rated to 18 stone? ...that does not mean it will collapse at 19 stone it’s just rated to 18 to be safe. I would happily buy an ultra light chair in lighter Alu rated at say 15 stone and I’ll be careful with it!
