I'm not sure if anyone on here is a KFAC member, but last night at the AGM the club decided that for a trial period (this season), they would be offering junior membership for free.

This offer is for the children of fully paid up parent or grandparent members.

The will still need to apply for a membership card in the usual way, and supply a passport type photo of both the child and the parent/grandparent.

The club will monitor this for the coming season, as there were one or two concerns aired at the meeting, but assuming everything goes ok, we hope this will become a permanent fixture.

The junior memberships will give access to all the club waters including the Middle and Lower Severn, Teme, W,Avon and the lakes on the National Trust estate at Dudmaston (just south of Bridgnorth), but parents/grandparents are reminded that some of the club waters can be very dangerous at times, and this should be taken into account when deciding which venue to target.

For further information contact Graham Wright on 01384 291281 or see the club web site http://www.kinverfreelinersac.com/

Please note
The web site will hopefully be updated in the next few days with the details, but we are in the process of changing the website, so please be patient.

Also, for those interested in fishing the Warwickshire Avon, the club have just secured night fishing on their stretch at Wick.
Again, this is for members only.

Regards,
Steve Williams

good way to get kids in to fishing - just hope they'll be supervised

Hi Lord Paul.

One of the stipulation's will be that they are supervised at all times, and must be fishing next to or in close proximity to the parent/grandparent.

Like I said, it will be monitored closely during the next 12 months and constantly reviewed throughout the season.

Steve

Good to hear of these rules and of letting the kids fish for free - well done
