Tony. Like you I was after a barbel rod,I posted my request for info in the barbel section though.Dont know what your price range is but I opted for the korum neoteric twin tip, basically for the versatility it offers. The 1.75tc for normal conditions & the 2.2tc for when the river is flowing a bit.Cost me £89.99 from tackle2u in Bradford.Look them up on the web.Hope this helps

James

I purchsed a neotoric avon about a month ago top section of 1 3/4lb tc and quiver section with tips of 2 4 and 6 oz use this for most of my barbel and chub fishing and it has been excellent unless you fish in heay flood no need for anything over 1.75 tc i had an 11lb er on it two weeks ago on the trent it was a joy to use so have a look at that one as alternative as can have more than just barbel uses.

I can recommend the Korum Neoteric twin tip. I have had 3 doubles (including a PB 14lb 12oz) on mine and it absorbs lunges close to the net very well indeed. This was best illustrated when I had a nice fish around 9lb on 8mm pellets with a size 14 hook. It was a cold day and river was clear so I scaled down. The 2 tips are versatile for the money. For the Trent far bank I have just bought the Fox duolite extreme 15 footer. However for general fishing the Neoteric twin tip gets a thumbs up from me especially for the price.

Conrad
