Well ok if we are on the subject of what we don’t need (I count myself as 1 of em) then what about bed chairs ? I always felt that was a stupid thing to have to lug about…whats wrong with a blow up mattress especially with a bivvy with sewn in groundsheet ? ….less space, less weight, prob just as conformable... ….oh boy, I can see myself being hung for saying that ..

loads of guys use them when they want to travel light

Bivvies, camo, 4 tons of gear.... matchmen are the last ones to lecture carp anglers on carrying excess luggage
|
 |
Actually, yes, I will to bat for the other side for a moment…. I think you have a point…if we are talking about who has the biggest “foot print” in terms of space taken up by an anglers pitch then match men win by a mile with 18m of pole sticking out behind them. I recon they also win in the weight of fish to weight of gear stakes….seat box, nets, umbrella, 100 rods etc for 6oz of bleak.

footprint?...what are you on about? and who really cares what fellow anglers carry to the bank ..carp /match/or clown ,i repeat fellow anglers!

actually slime monster...it was a joke...bit of banter and all that.. hence the " " Btw if you dont care about it why did you come to this thread ? ....seems a bit strange to join a thread you dont care about and even stranger to then go to the trouble to contribute to it to say how much you dont care about it...

cant you read?this thread is about landing net size which i do care about ,what i dont care about is the amount of kit an angler cares to lug to his peg after all what has it got to do with anyone but himself ?
|
 |
Yes I can read.....and I assume you can as well so you will have seen I contributed to the net size debate as well. It was a joke...it followed a number of equally tongue in cheek comments, it appears your the only one with a humor bypass. Btw your other posts on different threads tonight also appear to be equally antagonistic and negative - are you in a bad mood ? Anyway I dont want to turn someone else thread into a slagging match so 'll leave you to it.

"Bivvies, camo, 4 tons of gear...."
Right on, and thats just for a 4 hour match, what do they take to a six hour match?

Right on, and thats just your porch :large smiley thing:
|

Hey, my porch is a damn sight bigger than that.
What type of tackle-tart do you take me for?
Last time out I had a family of four sleeping in the porch!
Don't know who they were, but they had 'northern' accents, enough said? And they kept on chatting about some; 'uncle Roto'
