It was an interesting event but I was channel flicking a lot and just returning every now and again to see how it was going. I can't see angling ever getting much TV exposure because as a spectator sport it is rather dull (to put it mildly). I would liked to have seen more fishing, how they were feeding etc.
Also, I cannot believe that someone went to all the effort to produce a perfectly round pool with a round island in the middle and after all that they didn't space anglers equally around the lake.
What is the point of having 'end pegs' on a circular lake?! Seriously?!
Poor Keith. I think he's an excellent presenter and does a great job with Tight Lines. He would have been fine presenting this. No need for a non-angler to present the show.
I'm still kicking myself for not putting my house on Mick Bull the night before. I'm no expert in match fishing but everyone said it was basically his to lose on the preview show and on the day of the match. Fair play to him though. He still had to do it.
