Any one see Jamie Olivers new show hes in Rotherham teaching people to cook . One woman had never cooked her five year old a meal. just fed her takaways. Another one would eat about 10 packs of crisps and sweets for her main meal.Plus a lardy looking woman said she had never seen boiling water.

And the other people of Rotherham wanted him out of town cos they were insulted by him.
No southern ponce in Rotherham teaching poncey, fancy food. They want food to get their false teeth into and whats filling.

Did you see it ???????

And Ron has the audacity to criticise Liverpool !!!!!!

Hey! Ron is not the ONLY person to live in Rotherham, so do I! AND I love the place!

There are dodgey areas but every town or city has those! Jamie just happened to find people from some of the poorer areas where lack of education, ie; they do not want to learn, has left many not knowing anything and thinking that the State will do it for them... but this is as common in Essex as it is in Rotherham, I've had the dubious pleasure of visiting Essex!

Anyone who would like a glimpse of the real Rotherham, I'll gladly volunteer!

I saw last weeks where one young woman said she didn't have enough money to buy proper fresh food for the kids and then proceeded to light up a fag, one of 20 per day, or £35 per week at least.

It's not just Rotherham, could be anywhere, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Peckham.

It's the fact that the older mothers and grandmothers who were dragged up in the 70s never had to do anything and never knew what to teach their children. So the children grow up and don't feed their kids decent scran.

Couldn`t agree more.Im only 42 and both my parents have either worked or been doing ther teaching degrees whilst bringing 3 kids up,yet we always had good homemade food on the table. We were always encouraged (made) to help cook and thats what I do with my daughter now.

Think half of the problem is people who dont cook for their kids do so `cos they think its too expensive, yet dont (can`t) realise how much convenience food or take aways are in comparison. Also these people are too lazy, yet half the time its quicker to prepare something from fresh than cook from frozen or go to the takeaway.

Its a society thing and better people than us are trying to find answers so what chance have we got?
