Afternoon All,

Wonder if anyone can help me out on this one.

I'm trying to organise for a small group of my work colleagues and I to go on a bit of a boat fishing trip for a day, possibly around the Mersey estuary area or around Blackpool/Morecambe.

There is only myself who is a regular fisherman.  Therefore said charter would have to be able to possibly supply or hire the necessary tackle for the day and possibly also supply the necessary bait.

There would be around 6 people max for the trip.

Can anyone give any recommendations as to who to contact, or if anyone has been out one of these charters, what was it like?  Was it worth it?

 Cheers

Danny

I don't know about the Mersey or Blackpool mate.  But the charter boats supplied tackle going out from Colwyn Bay.  Insured for up to 12 people.

Danny, www.wirralseafishing.co.uk is a good starting point . The 5/6hour  trips in the mersey sound like they might be what you're looking for .

When are you planning to go?

Hire a minibus and get yourselves off to Brid. They always used to have tackle on board + bait (mussels) and there might be a chance of bringing home a few coalie or if you're really lucky, a cod or two.

Thanks for the replies.  Ian, I'm undecided when to go really, ideally I would like it to be in within the next month but I think it may have to be in the Spring.

Stick to Liverpool Danny you'll be pleasantly surprised at what's caught in the mersey.

Ring and ask what dates the skipper recommends for your party.

By Sea angler, there are plenty of charters in the back section. Suveran 2 and Warrior spring to mind.
