Chris, your school policy covers kids on organised school activities that have had proper Risk Assessment done and have been sanctioned by the Head. He will need to check the fine print of the policy though!

As for contact with a commercial fishery, I can arrange that with Ken Swain of KJS Fisheries. They already have a scheme with the Manor groups and I will organise a similar one for you if you want. There are 13 ponds to choose from with KJS and they are within 7 miles of the school.

I also would advise you to get down to Univeral Angling Supplies on Mansfielf Road, only 10 minutes away. They are closing down and have some great 7 metre starter poles for only £20! That's cost price!

cheers Don,  that would be great, I'm working on the risk asessment,child protection policy and behaviour contract at the moment, so much to do.

I know Luke from Universal and he will be one of the first ports of call as soon as we get some funding through, last time I spoke to him he said it would be at least another six weeks before he 's closing so hope I make it in time.

If you could talk to Ken Swain on our behalf that would be great but as I said it will take us a while to actually get our members out there fishing. The more things we can get in place now the easier it will be to set in motion.
