Hi all, could someone please tell me the test curve of the 3 tips supplied with the John Wilson Avon quiver system rod.
I have the 11/13ft 1 1/4 lb TC model.

Many thanks.
I personally wouldn’t get to hung up on the TC of the tips. I class mine as light, medium, heavy and rod end for the Avon top. They all bang round with a good bite even in Stillwater.

Thanks for the replies fellas. Good idea, I'll check out the Masterline site, see if I can glean any info from there.

I'm thinking about buying one and have seen they come supplied with three quiver tips. Are the three tips colour coded? eg red - heavy, yellow - light.

Asked the same question myself of Masterline, the answer:

Dear Sir,

The red tip 1.5 oz
The yellow tip 2 oz
The green tip 2 oz

Regards

I agree with Phil ie just try the tips and don't worry about these test curves. My best club match weight was caught on a poker stiff Middy feeder rod which I only carry as a spare and I also play snooker with. On this particular day I forgot to put my decent Tri-cast feeder rod in the holdall but a succession of bream and good sized skimmers gently nudged round the Middy tip (about 4 feet each time).
