Hi everyone,

I'm quite new to fishing but very eager to improve. I've recently been fishing without any results because i keep slipping up on casting back to the same place and keeping consistent, i need a rig that i can just tie up and chuck out there and not have to worry about it for a long time, a PVA rig seemed to be the best bet but i don't want to spod seeing as i'll probably spray fisherman on the opposite bank with carpet feed. Could i just pack a large PVA bag full of feed and chuck it out there for a few hours? If you have any other rigs that don't require too much expertise i'd be glad to hear them and try them, any tips or comments welcome,
cheers,
Chris

Beggining now with the warmer weather Chris the fish especially carp (I'm assuming that's what you're fishing for) will be feeding more heavily. A PVA bag full of feed does work well but they are heavy to cast and if the fish are on it the bait won't last too long.

My advice would be to fish a bit closer in, try the margins. Casting to the same spot will be easier, you may just be able to drop your rig in the water then walk the rod back to your peg. Also you can trickle extra feed in constantly throughout the session. Only add more though if the fish are clearing it up.

Check out the rigs page here and don't underestimate float tactics especially if where you're fishing contains tench and other fish too.

Hi Chris Despite what you may hear or read there are no quick fixes to being consistantly succesfull.
Pick a water that has lots of carp in, Use PVA bags but watch the water and put them where you see fish, Buy a ready made rig, concentrate on finding a place in the margins that the fish visit regularly then you will be able to place your rig and bait with more accuracy.
Hopefully the more you fish the more proficient you will become and the more you will want to work at your fishing.

Chris I'd try this on the carp forum if you've talking carp fishing as far more people will see it.
