Hi, anyone out there know where I can get a pole seat for my 'original' Matchbox, which is in the old Tricast maroon colours?
Does Clint still make them? Or has the brand been taken over by someone else.
Their current range looks a different size and design.

Hi Maz,
Still drowning maggots on Braddys?
Just thought I'd say hello, I've still got (and use) the fly box you bought me all those years ago.
Say hello to Arlene and Ondina for me.
God your daughter must be about 25 now, mines 7.
Drop me a line I would like to find out how you are doing.

My God Gaz, talk about a blast from the past,I almost tripped over my jaw when I saw your message! Glad to see you are still a 'brother of the angle' what are you into now, I dangle a line in anything wet, i.e. sea, game, specimen, match, abit of a Jack of all trades master of none I suppose.
Arlene waltzed off with another bloke 24 years ago (no suprises there then) Ondina is now 28 with a husband and four year old of her own, they both live in Leicestershire now, I've re-married (22yrs), have two Pre-teen daughters and now live in North Wales on the river Dee estuary (hence the varied fishing interests)
If that lot doesn't make you feel old, it does me!
Cheers, Maz.

Until recently I had a Warrington card and fished some of the stillwaters. I used to use deadbaits and one of those one-handed American multiplier outfits with plugs and spinners and actually caught fish! but got disillusioned with all the carp men thinking they owned the water, all the shit they left behind and the lack of solitude etc. I also had a crack at sea fishing at Perch Rock New Brighton and Mersey estuary Liverpool side but the bloody scousers had nicked all the fish! I mostly fly fish the Midlands reservoirs these days with the odd trip to the Ribble, Test(The Orvis stretch, very memorable) and Torridge at Sheepwash(Lovely place No Fish)
We have just moved to Leicestershire from Cheshire and my house won't be finished till October so we are living in rented and all my gear is in storage at the moment but I plan to get cracking in the new year. We also lived in Warwickshire for 7 years prior to Cheshire and my daughter was born in Coventry(poor little bugger). So you see Maz, I too have been round the block a few times. I would really like to catch a Salmon on fly or "Devon" before I keel over but as I now live as far as it is possible to be from the sea in the UK the likelihood is remote.

Gaz.
