Hi all,

This is only my first or second post here. I have joined a club that allows me to fish the lake at Hever castle in Kent. I have heard that it is hard for carp but was wondering about the tench in the lake. anyone got any ideas as to how i would tackle it? I was thinking of swimfeeders on carp rods etc with red maggots.

Also has anyone on here actually fished it?

Sorry Mike, I haven't fished it but I know someone who works there and along with the carp apperently theres been some big eels seen lurking about.

Hi Mike,not fished it for ages but last time i did found weed was a bit of a problem.Best bet at time was pole fishing,also found the large head of skimmer bream was a bit of a problem if trying to specificly target the Tench.
