Hello to all, I have been reading some old books by john Wilson and noted that in some of the pictures he is sitting on a kind of a folding chair with a back support. I have look around a lot of tackle shops and yes if you are very small with a very small btm for £15 or so you can get one like the ones pictured. my question is do any of you out there know where I could get a chair/seat folding with a strong back that also folds down to make the whole thing easy to transport, but for a grown person? one final point most of the chairs I have seen have no feet just the tubing bent round to form a kind of front and back flat tube on the ground that is a pain when trying to level the thing up. Any Help much appriciated. regards Bob Smith

Try any of the roamer chairs.
£15 to £20.
I have a JRC Roamer. 4 extending legs with swivel mud feet.
Good luck.

I've also got a JRC as well as a Fox adjuster which has the tubing you describe. The Fox is lighter than the JRC and has a carrying strap, I use it when river fishing. I've never had a problem levelling it up as you can adjust the height front to back.

Thanks Ged and JK for your response, but I may have mislead you both in as much as the seat/chair I am on about looks like a fold up stool with cross over frame that has a fold up or over back so that when it is set up look like an ordinary chair the kind you might use while camping etc. I already have a carp/barbel seat made by Wychwood very light made of alli with feet that can be ajusted. I was looking for a seat/chair that if I was out swim hopping while float fishing, would just give me a light weight seat that I could carry with the minimum of fuss. The ones in the pictures that john Wilson is sitting on looked to be just the job. Problem is I don't seem to be able to find a shop that sells them. Thanks again for your feedback I will keep looking. Regards Smiffy.
