hello to everybody,I have recently bought a preston 2g91 pole, on the 2 occations that i have used it sections of the pole have come apart allmost resulting in me losing the top six sections of the pole, luckily i managed to ship the pole back and push the joints together again. has anybody out there had this problem with preston poles.

at the price of one those about £2,500 i would be taking it
back to shop and getting on to preston innovations ,are you sure you are fitting together right, tho as far i know theres only one way

i think i may contact preston innovations, and see what thay have to say.this is my fourth pole, i have had maver, sensas and map and never had this problem before.

Its seems to be pretty common with most of the new top poles-

You will find that as sections wear a bit they fit together more snug. I just check when im shipping my pole out that the sections are fitted together properly.

You might want to check your roller too, some the rollers i.e. V section ones loosen up the sections, much the same way as the method you use to unship stuck sections.

I had a similar problem with my pole, its settled down now though.

Thanks stevie, sound advice. I was just a bit worried that i had got a duff pole, but i will take onboard your advice, and i will give my pole rollers a good check over. CHEERS.

no i would not expect a top of the range pole to not stay together
i have three mates all with the top of the range poles one ems got Browning C,C 1000 ANOTHER S GOT THE garbolino super legion and mate the tackle tart he,s got the daiwa spectron , i spoke to em and none of there poles are loose neither is mine and mine,s a cheaper at £932 that doesnt come loose

Speak to your local tackle dealer and im sure he will confirm what I said. Just make sure that joints are fitted together properly.

Ive got a top of the range daiwa and I noticed that I experienced similar issues, like I said no problems now you have just got to learn how to handle the new poles.
