Lots of silver fish on casters or maggots up in the water. Also a brilliant head of crucians/brown goldfish and tench.
Fish the top lake with waggler or feeder for the cru's, bread, corn and meat are the best baits. The fish are usually around the 2-4lb mark so gear up accordingly.
Swims up the arm are good, but anywhere if you keep some feed going in. I haven't fished there for a couple of years now, as they don't want locals fishing there nowadays. Used to pick a spot and keep it tight with loose fed corn and single grain on the hook.
The swim by the White Post was always sought after, casting to the mouth of the arm.
Hope it's good for you, let me know how it goes.
