I wonder if any of you ladies or gents can help me with some advice on seat boxes. I'm looking for a seat box with platform and preferably wheels which you can attach. Now i had a look around and the prizes are a bit over my budget. I also had a look in different fishing magazines for second hand ones up for private sale. Every time I find one in my budget it's too far away (most are only for collection). I also had a look at 'evilbay' but couldn't find what I was looking for. Is there a magazine or website where I can buy second hand tackle/seat box

TRY dragon carp direct. they have a web site. The boxs are new but are very cheap but are of very good quality.

Correction , I would say the gear is of acceptable quality for the price. As with anything you buy you get the quality you pay for or some poor 10 year old in the far east is making boxes and bags in a sweatshop for 30pence a day.....
If Primark can sell a blouse or shirt for £2 and make a handsome profit how much is the maker getting per day to produce them?

Totaly agree you only get what you pay for, but i think for the price like you say they are of acceptable quality and are a very good starter box. As for items being made cheaply abroad the majority of fishing gear is..........

Firstly you didnt mention what your budget is ,,, Have a look at the maver boxes the club is about 100 and the pro a little more a footplate (maver ) is 30 quid and for wheels you will have to use a trolley 30 quid if your budget is a bit more look at the maver match this box or the preston on boxes If you are really on a tight budget i can get you a shakespeare plastic box for peanuts and a trolly for 30quid Ryan

Claudia, i bought a new seat box a couple of month ago from my local tackle shop. It's a Milo box i'll have to find out the name of it for you. It comes with a platform which is a very wide platform and it isn't that heavy. I use a trolley with it which i bought for £22 my box was £185, and the tackle shop guy gave it me for £150, but well worth it. I use all of my korum accessories with it as well ie: rod rest, bait table, umberella holder, etc. I'll try to find it and then send you the link.

Thanks sis.....sadly y local tackle shop don't have any boxes...it's only a small shop in the back of a bike shop lol Gary I had a looka at dragon carp direct....they are not quite the boxes I'm looking for but tank you anyway for the link. Ryan My budget it to about £160 -£180 max, I know it's not much but I'm sure I will find something. There are so many on the market, hard to choose....I would like a box which is not too heavy, one I can carry if needed. Again I saw the shakespear box on evilbay with platform and all that but still a little to plain. I'd like to have the draws and the option to use more accessories with it.

.jpg) Claudia, I should have shown you my Fox Box last weekend, it was in the car! It's the 6 draw version and came complete with wheels, handle, footplate, mud feet and carrying strap and was less than £100. It's a little small in comparison with many on the market but I find it perfectly OK. Forget the RRP, I'm sure it's a lot cheaper if you shop around. You mentioned you may have a "practice trip" to GV?? Just across the road is Willow Park where I know "Tosh" White has usually got a few second hand (but good) bits of tackle for sale including boxes. I can't get there before next Wednesday but I'll have a look there and see what he's got.
