Has anyone used these now we are well into 2008.

I am still, looking for a honest review of these rods. I am now looking for a review of any of the Daiwa aqualite rods, (Float or Feeder)

Cheers

I have a shop near me that stocks them Ryan, along with about probably 60 other float rods, all set up and on display.

I bought a float rod recently and considered buying one, but to be honest I thought the shakespeare rods compared just as favourably for far less £££ so I bought one of those instead.

Am sure you won't be disappointed if you bought one but I thought there was better value on the market.

To be honest the reason I asked again was because I have been offered a float rod, that is going cheap, I liked them when I was looking in late 2007,

But instead i ended up with a MAP parabolix medium power waggler - which I am waiting for a spare top for (still, this has been going on for ages) and i always felt i should have got the daiwa - no particular reason , the MAP is probably better but i always felt the daiwa was 'right'.

Anyway, to cut this story short, i have been using my backup leeda merit match carp waggler for a while, and have been wishing for a better rod,

And we (the shop i work in) have a Daiwa aqualite extra power float in the shop, used twice for £50, i like the rod, and it would be perfect for the commercials, but if i am going to get this i would also get the 14ft waggler and the power feeder ---

-- (My current MAP Parabolix feeder system rod is for sale (RRP £199 i'm after £100) possibly along with the medium power float)

Many Thanks for the reply Eddie, and if any one has something else to say it would be gratefully heard

You can't argue with 50 rips mate, I'd snatch his hand off. In all fairness though I wasn't looking at the 'power' rods I was looking at the standard and lighter tip match rods!

That is what i wanted, a softer rod for trotting on the rivers (Looking at drennan DRX match) and a heavier rod for commrcials ie Aqualite Power
