Having fished all my life apart from the last 10 years, the changes to the sport now I have started again, are mind blowing.

Having slowed down a bit I am planning on a change of style, I fancy using a bite alarm for a bit of tench and bream fishing using heavy feeders, my problem is what is the best sort of rod for this method what test curve would be ample for heavy feeders.

I keep going back to the Grey's Prodigy range the barbel,specimen and specialist, any thoughts.

Looking at a pair of rods, the Prodigy Barbel 2lb tc, and the Prodigy Specimen 1.5 x 2lb tc, covers quite a lot of what I will want to do, the Barbel rod with its tips is an added bonus.

Got my eye on a pair of Fox Micron MX2 bite alarm. it seems enough for what I want, just need to get my head round some of the new feeder rigs and set-ups, the biggest change is bait and the additives they are putting in ground bait, should have it all sorted in my head by March next year after a Winter delving into the in's and out's, then I will be ready for those early morning tench.

Just need a chair and a carryall, Thanks once again Gav for your reply, I will have a look at the Wychwood range before I decide.
