Can anyone recommend a trotting rod, ideally about 13ft, with the main species it being used for chub and perch

has anyone used the shakespere mach 2 range of rods? they look ok for under the 50 range....

Try looking at the TFG gear for the price you want to pay, with some of that gear you get a life time guarantee.

I`ve seen the shakespeare mach rods advertised with the mach reels chucked in free,I think it was chapmans cataloge in one of the monthlies.

Thanks for all the help so far, i think its prob worth paying abit extra, and getting a rod thats better quality.

Them commerical rods are ok, but if im gonna be holding it all day could get a little tiring.

Anyone recommend something sub 100?

cop yourself a little john wilson avon / Qiver around £80 then you got the best of both worlds it comes as a 11' / 13 foot rod with 3 tips nice and light and jsut right for most things.
